Humble Beginings
Zachary Charles Pierce founded live learn shine in 2019 with the goal of continuing some of the charitable work he was doing alongside Hungarian Baptist Aid the years prior throughout Hungary. Most of this work included coaching American Football, and teaching subjects such as Biology, English, and Physical Education. Since returning to the United States in 2019 he had been working on developing the vision of the organization. This vision became a reality in 2024 when Live Learn Shine hosted their inaugural football camp at Cserepka Iskola in Pécs Hungary. It was a week long program the introduced students to the essentials of flag football.
With much loftier goals than just football camps, Live Learn Shine entered the rally race competition, Budapest Bamako 2026, with the goal of expanding their charitable reach to schools and organizations in western Africa. Its a 16 day journey from Budapest, Hungary to Freetown, Sierra Leone, were we are going to be handing out school supplies and American footballs along the way.

Our Initiatives

Flag Football Camps
Our camps have more to offer to the youth than just exposure. We are providing the opportunity for Hungarians who are interested in American football to participate in camps coached by experienced American football players and coaches. This will be an immersive Native English Speaker experience with a touch of learning about American culture. All of the coaching will be in English to help improve students skills and give them an opportunity to practice their English.
Not only is this providing students the opportunity of a lifetime, it will also provide some American coaches with the opportunity of a lifetime as well.

Budapest Bamako Rally
We've purchased a Mercedes Unimog truck that we will use as an expedition vehicle to participate in the Budapest Bamako Rally. The rally is a charity that provides school supplies, and other essential good for isolated and marginalized communities along the 16 day journey from Budapest Hungary to Freeport Sierra Leon. We will be loading up vehicle with school supplies and American footballs to give out along the way.

Language Immersion Programs
We want to create an immersive experience for people interested in learning English, and other foreign languages. Connecting volunteers and teachers to schools in isolated areas, and offering affordable language learning is our goal.
